Union Dime Anniversary Dinner

My grandfather spent 48 years helping to build Union Dime Savings Bank in the first half of the 20th century. He died at its 100th anniversary dinner which was called, at the time, the Hotel Pierre in New York City. The picture above was taken moments before his death and it hangs on my office wall as it did with my father. I named my company Union Dime, Inc., in honor of my grandfather because I felt that he personified what my business is all about exceptional service, trustworthiness, perseverance and creating opportunity for others.

Boyd B. Lewis, President

It is better by noble boldness to run the risk of being subject to half of the evils we anticipate than to remain in cowardly listlessness for fear of what may happen.

~ Herodotus 484 BC to 425 BC
